• Describe methods to optimize the use of current antiplatelet strategies to prevent thrombotic events post-PCI
• Discuss emerging antiplatelet strategies under investigation for use in patients with ACS and undergoing PCI

Expected Outcomes

Participation in these programs is expected to produce these outcomes:

• Participants will be able to utilize data from clinical trials to consider the most appropriate management strategies in the contemporary treatment of patients with ACS.
• By applying their knowledge concerning the clinical importance of antiplatelet therapies and the problem of hyporesponse/resistance, participants will prevent unwanted adverse outcomes that may result from suboptimal platelet inhibition in patients with ACS and during the peri- and post- interventional periods following PCI.
• Through identifying the barriers and unmet needs in the field of platelet inhibition, participants will seek to overcome them by providing the most optimal evidence-based antiplatelet strategies for patients with ACS or who undergo PCI.
• With an up-to-date knowledge of emerging clinical trial evidence, participants will gain comfort with novel approaches to platelet inhibition.
